I am currently leaving my job to head home. I have a mile walk to the bus stop. I take a bus and get off in 8 stops. I transfer to another bus and get off in 35 stops, then walk a couple blocks to my house. Currently, every week day, I walk 2 1/2 + miles and take 3 busses, just to get to work and back home, while Megan’s other car is in the shop. Still, I wouldn’t change a thing.
The weather is cold. 35°F to be exact. It’s hard to leave my nice warm house in the mornings, especially with all the walking that lies ahead. It’s hard to leave my nice warm job in the afternoons especially with all the walking that lies ahead. But I wouldn’t change a thing.
One of the perks of public transportation is alone time with God. I get to have Matt Chandler or Judah Smith preach a message just to me (at the time.) I get to have Housefires or Bellarive lead me in worship. Every day is like another church service all over again. I wouldn’t change a thing.
I’m getting to know a lot of my coworkers, and their brokenness reminds me of how broken I am too. I’m one of two professing Christ Followers in my building. I know they see a difference, I wonder still if that’s a positive or a negative thing to them. But i’m there for a purpose and I wouldn’t change a thing.
I’m stoked about what’s ahead for me here. I hope God doesn’t change a thing.
