I’m in a crossroads in my life right now. I want so badly to be where God wants me, that I lose sight of where he has me. I have friends with good intentions who tell me that I need to make moves, or that I need to prove myself. That if I really want God to move, that I have to start moving first. When I do this, and nothing happens, it all falls back on me. And they, are long gone. I’m here stuck with the consequences of not waiting on the Lord.
We live in a world where everything is on the go, people are constantly moving. We have fast foods, express lanes, Drive Thru tellers. We want what we want fast. We can easily miss out on huge things from God if we move faster than he wants us to.
I lack fulfillment. I want so badly to see God complete work in me, that I’m not willing to wait on his process. See, he knows a little bit more than I do about preparing people. Moses, David, Daniel; Yeah he prepared them. They waited on God and he moved in them and they became some of the most amazing men in history. Role models. People I want to be like.
“You are blessed for believing that the Lord would keep his promise to you.” Luke 1:45
God will fulfill his purpose in my life. He will fulfill His purpose in yours. Surround yourself with people who will build you up, instead of rushing you, and will pray for God’s will to be done in your life.
