In the wake of a big presidential annoncement in Venezuela, my Facebook feed came alive with posts from angry voters upset with how the rest of the country had voted. Cussing, name calling, and disturbing pictures flooded my home page.
God put the following verse on my heart, to share on my Facebook feed: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14 Without even thinking, I posted it in the first language that came up in my bible app, which was English. I turned over and went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning, I realized that I had posted it in English, not Spanish. So I got into Facebook, not thinking much of it. When I was bombarded with notifications, with comments, messages, and likes. I guess my Venezuelan brothers and sisters weren’t the only ones who needed to read that. I guess the little mess up of posting it in the wrong language, was really God letting those who needed to see it most, see it. God is sovereign.
This is what I would have posted;
“El Señor peleará por vosotros mientras vosotros os quedáis callados.” Exodo 14:14
