Hate is everywhere now. It’s such a shame. I see it in everyday life. It’s something we are always surrounded by. Looking down on people who have less then us and instead of showing compassion we speak hatred into their lives. Where is love? Where is this Almighty Love you preach about on Sundays? Does it just stay at church? Or maybe it just stays in your “class” of wealth. We overlook the fact that Jesus loves EVERYONE; so we preach it to the ones we think deserve it, and not to the ones we know deserve it. There is a world out there dying without a saving knowledge of Christ, and we are to lazy to get up and preach it outside of our comfort zone. How is it that we get to determine who gets love? Jesus came down to love the unloved, and he poured out love for everyone; including those who despised him. He loved the unloving. He loved. There was no hatred in his life. Only righteous anger towards those who refused to follow what he commanded. Love. True religion is this; Love. He preached love. We preach love too, but we never show it, and we don’t get why we as “Christians” are labeled hypocrites. Go out and show love. Don’t just say you love; show it! Be love!
“Love is patient. Love is kind. Love isn’t jealous. It doesn’t sing its own praises. It isn’t arrogant. It isn’t rude. It doesn’t think about itself. It isn’t irritable. It doesn’t keep track of wrongs. It isn’t happy when injustice is done, but it is happy with the truth. Love never stops being patient, never stops believing, never stops hoping, never gives up.” –1 Corinthians 13:4-7
That’s my favorite chapter in all the bible. Well said.
