2 Timothy 1:7 NLT For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
I’m sitting in my bedroom, with a sickning feeling in my stomach. It’s hard to explain. I sometimes let my worrying get the best of me. The “almighty” fear of the unknown, has gotten me in trouble more often then not. But yet, I press on.
The other day, I was thinking about the verse above, about how we live in fear so much today, and forget about what God has promised us. He essentially has taken away from our hearts a spirit of fear and has replaced it with, his spirit which is full of power, love, and self discipline. I wonder why we let small worldly things or issues get the best of us, when the God of all creation has given us the spirit of power, love, and self discipline. If you really think about it or meditate on it, I think you’ll get my thought process. We believe that God can create a whole universe, but think he’s too small to handle our problems. How does that even make sense? We are so so human. God is waiting for us to hand over our problems to him, so he can take care of them.
I hope that maybe as you read this, you will realize that other people go through the same things you do, and you’re not alone. God has a devine plan for your life.
